Super Visa is a unique program introduced in December 2011. It is a multiple entry, temporary but extended visa for parents/grandparents of permanent residents and Canadian citizens. It may be valid up to 10 years. Parents/Grandparents can stay in Canada up to two years at a time.

The requirements for Super Visa are:


A letter of invitation from the child or grandchild.
Most recent year tax documents from Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) that prove the child or grandchild meets the Low Income Cut-Off (LICO).
Proof of parent-child relationship with child or grandchild like birth certificate.
Proof of medical insurance coverage a minimum of $100,000 for at least one year with a canadian insurance company.
Must pass medical exam.
