Express Entry was launched in 2015 that makes the immigration process fast. Express Entry is not an immigration program rather it is a fast track processing system which selects skilled workers under Economic Classes. Work permit
Many possibilities and opportunities exist for those who want to work in Canada. Usually, a foreign national has to obtain Work Permit to be authorized to work in Canada. A foreign national cannot initiate the process as the employer who needs to hire the foreign national has to take the permission from Service Canada, a part of Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC), this permission is called LMIA.
Extension/ Restoration
If a temporary resident has lost their status (section 47 of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act [IRPA]) or let their authorization to work or study expire, they may apply to restore that status in accordance with section 182 of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR).

Each province and territory has its own “streams” (immigration programs that target certain groups)
super visa
Super Visa is a unique program introduced in December 2011. It is a multiple entry, temporary but extended visa for parents/grandparents of permanent residents and Canadian citizens. It may be valid up to 10 years. Parents/Grandparents can stay in Canada up to two years at a time.

AINP
The Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program nominates individuals for permanent residence. People who are nominated through the program, together with their spouse/common-law partner and dependent children, can apply for permanent residence
LMIA
An LMIA is a labor market verification process whereby Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) assesses an offer of employment to ensure that the employment of a foreign worker will not have a negative impact on the Canadian labor market. Employers will be required to provide a variety of information about the position for which they want to hire a foreign worker.
